WHY I DO THIS.
After a cancer diagnosis, there comes a point where it is no longer just about getting healthy.
It is also about finding your way back to your own body.
I offer treatments that may not be medically necessary—
yet can be profoundly significant for how you feel in your own skin.
A reconstructed breast that is still missing a nipple.
A scar that catches your eye the moment you look in the mirror.
Or other visible changes resulting from cancer or its treatment.
That is why, at SHÆDE, I intentionally set aside one treatment slot every month—completely free of charge.
Not as a discount promotion.
Not as a prize draw.
But as a part of my work that I wish to give back.
ONE SPOT. EVERY MONTH.
Each month, I select one person who has overcome cancer to receive a complimentary treatment at SHÆDE.
There is no cost for this session.
Your income level—or whether or not you could otherwise afford a regular treatment—does not play a role in the selection process.
WHICH TREATMENTS CAN BE PROVIDED?
3D Areola
For visual reconstruction following breast surgery—for example, after breast cancer treatment.
Scar Camouflage
For color-matching suitable, fully healed scars—such as those resulting from medical conditions, accidents, or surgeries.
The goal is to ensure that the scar is no longer the first thing that catches the eye.
We will determine whether a treatment is possible and appropriate during a personal consultation.

Even though the treatment is free of charge, you will not receive a shortened or simplified version.
You will receive the same careful consultation, planning, and treatment as my regular clients.
Beforehand, I simply verify that your skin has fully healed and that the desired treatment is both appropriate and safe to perform at this time.
Free of charge does not mean less care.
WHO CAN GET IN TOUCH?
You may apply for a SHÆDE charity spot if:

you have had a cancer diagnosis,

the treatment you are seeking relates to the visible aftereffects of your illness or its treatment, and

your current state of health and dermatological condition allow for such a procedure.
As only one complimentary spot is available each month, it is unfortunately not possible to accommodate every request.
There is no entitlement to free treatment.
I make the selection personally, based on each individual’s specific circumstances and an assessment of whether my work can provide meaningful help.
