The Aesthetic Solution for Hair Loss
Hair loss changes more than just your outward appearance.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is an aesthetic solution for hair loss, receding hairlines, crown thinning, or sparse areas.
By applying the finest pigment dots, we create the illusion of greater hair density or a uniform, freshly shaved look—entirely without surgery.
At SHÆDE in Potsdam, I employ precise techniques—such as Soli Dots and Twin Dots—to achieve a natural, harmonious result.
SMP is suitable for both men and women and can also visually camouflage scars resulting from hair transplants.
Hair pigmentation does not replace hair—rather, it transforms your appearance and creates a cohesive, balanced overall look.
When SMP Makes Sense
-
Receding Hairline
-
Thinning Crown / Balding Spot
-

Scars from Hair Transplants or Surgery
SMP does not replace hair—it corrects the perception.
And therein lies its true strength.
My

I work with exclusive SMP techniques—the very same ones utilized by leading international studios—including the Soli-Dots and Twin-Dots techniques.
These enable:

seamless transitions
-
a result that looks completely natural—never "done"
I am proud to be part of #TeamScalpStudioSweden and to bring this expert knowledge to Potsdam.
Quality, Not Promises.
SMP is neither a quick fix nor a fad treatment.
A successful result is achieved through:
-
realistic planning
-
carefully selected colors

and precise, controlled work
I provide honest advice, set clear expectations, and proceed only when SMP is truly the right solution.

Classification Based on the Norwood Scale
The Norwood Scale is an internationally recognized system for classifying male hair loss into various stages—ranging from 1 (slight hairline recession) to 7 (complete baldness on the crown).
Using this scale, you can easily assess for yourself which stage you are currently in.
I use this classification as a guide for pricing, as the complexity and duration of treatment vary depending on the specific type of hair loss.
This allows you to realistically anticipate what to expect—both in terms of cost and treatment—even before your initial consultation.

TYP I
No significant hair loss yet. This is more about visual thickening.

TYP II
A subtle recession of the hairline in the forehead area—typical early signs of hair loss.

TYP III
Clearly visible hair loss at the temples; the hairline forms an M or a V.

TYP III Vortex
In addition to receding temples, a thinning patch (tonsure) develops on the top of the head—affecting both the forehead and the crown.

TYp IV
More pronounced receding temples and a thinning patch at the back of the head (crown) become visible.

TYP V
Areas of hair loss begin to merge, and the top of the head becomes noticeably thinner.

TYP VI
Only hair on the sides and back of the head remains; the upper scalp is almost completely bald.

TYP VII
Only a narrow ring of hair remains on the sides and the back of the head.
Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss.
It can manifest in various forms and affects both men and women.
The most common form is androgenetic alopecia—that is, hereditary hair loss. In this condition, hair follicles gradually shrink over time until they eventually cease producing new hair. The progression typically begins with a receding hairline or a thinning patch at the crown of the head and can—depending on genetic predisposition, hormones, and age—advance to complete baldness.
In addition, there are other forms, such as:
Alopecia Areata: patchy hair loss, often triggered by stress or autoimmune factors.
Diffuse Alopecia: uniform hair loss across the entire scalp, frequently caused by hormones, medications, or nutritional deficiencies.
Scarring Alopecia: hair loss resulting from injuries, surgery, or inflammation of the scalp.
In many cases, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) can restore a natural-looking, fuller appearance of hair—entirely without surgery or medication.
Background Information on Hereditary Hair Loss
It is caused by a genetic sensitivity of the hair follicles to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT)—a metabolic byproduct of testosterone.
DHT shortens the hair growth cycle, causing the hair to become progressively finer, thinner, and shorter over time, until the follicles eventually cease producing new hair altogether.
In Men:
The progression typically begins with a receding hairline (temples) or a bald spot at the crown. As it advances, these areas may merge until complete baldness develops across the top of the head—a pattern typically classified using the Norwood Scale.
In Women:
Women, too, can suffer from hereditary hair loss; however, it manifests differently:
Instead of clearly defined bald patches, the hair thins diffusely—particularly along the part and across the top of the head—while the hairline typically remains intact.
This pattern is classified according to the Ludwig Scale and affects many women, particularly following hormonal changes (e.g., pregnancy, menopause, or use of oral contraceptives).
Treatment Options:
While medications often yield only limited results, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) performed at my specialized studio in Potsdam can visually restore the appearance of denser hair.
Fine pigment dots are deposited into the scalp to create the illusion of thicker hair—a gentle, effective, and natural solution that requires absolutely no surgery.
Your Path to the Perfect Hairline:
Step 1:
Personalized Consultation
In a personal consultation, we will clarify your wishes, analyze your hair and skin type, and discuss the available options. You will receive an honest assessment regarding the expected results, the treatment process, and the costs.
Step 2:
The Pigmentation
I select a pigment shade that perfectly matches your hair color. The tone is individually tailored to you, ensuring that the final result looks very natural. Using a specialized technique, tiny pigment dots are then precisely applied to the affected areas. The treatment is carried out over several sessions, as the skin has a limited capacity to absorb pigment and the result is built up gradually.
Step 3:
Healing & Aftercare
After each session, the skin requires a few days to heal. Slight redness may occur. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions for the post-treatment period. Over the course of 1–2 follow-up appointments, we will perfect the density, color intensity, and transitions—to achieve the most natural-looking result possible.
